Day 2: The path and pattern of the man crown with glory and honor

  • The revelation of the man crowned with glory and majesty is the man in Christ.
  • Christ is the embodiment of the fullness of God’s glory and honor.
  • Hebrews 1:3- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
    1. When the scripture says we see Jesus, it also tells us we see the glory that Moses sought to see.
    2. The glory that in the Old Testament man could not see and live.
    3. God has crowned you with that glory, because the glory in Jesus, the radiance of God’s glory

Hebrews 2:5-9

God the Father subjected, intentionally placed all under the dominion of man in Genesis 1:28, but man failed in carrying forth life in the Glory

  • But in the New Testament, God through His Son Jesus fulfilled His will towards man that man will carry forth life in glory through the death and resurrection of Christ.
  • The path and pattern of the man crowned with glory and honor
    1. Death to self- Mark 14:34
      • The death process is soul-crushing with grief
      • To live in the reality of the glory, there must be the yielding of the self to death
    2. A renewal of mind- 1 Corinthians 2:16-
      • Who has known the mind of God, so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ
    3. Craving His appearance- 2 Timothy 4:8 - From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.

Prayers:

  1.  1 Corinthians 15:31- I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
    • Heavenly Father, let there be a daily dying of the self that the life of Christ will be revealed more within me.
  2. 2 Corinthians 4:6-For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
    • Heavenly Father, give us an increasing measure of the light of the knowledge of Jesus.
    • In the light of the knowledge, I am not forsaken, I am not destroyed, I am not crush
  3.  John 11:40: Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
    • Heavenly Father, as I believe so, I see your glory in my life.
    • Heavenly Father, as I have believed in Christ, so your glory shines in my situation
    • Heavenly Father, as I believe, so your glory shines everywhere I step in Jesus' name.
