The Blueprint of Kingdom Marriage - Structure - Headship of the man
    •    The structure shows man as the head of the wife
    ◦    Head meaning
    ‣    Supreme
    ‣    Chief
    ‣    Master
 
    •    Importance of headship
    ◦    The head is the house of vision
    ◦    The head gives direction
    ◦    The head receives instruction

    •    The structure of Christian marriage is:
    ◦    1Corinthians 11:3 - Christ is the head of the man, and man is the head of the woman

    •    Headship denotes authority 
    ◦    Numbers 30:3-8 - The Father and Husband of a woman have equally binding authority
    ◦    Numbers 30:9-15 - The Husband of a widow has binding and losing authority

    •    The husband holds the authority her father once held over her. Read Numbers 30:16
    ◦    This is the reason Paul says the woman must
    ‣    Ephesians 5:22 - Submit or yield to her husband
    ‣    Ephesians 5:24 - Be subject to the authority of her husband in everything
    ‣    Ephesians 5:33 - Respect her husband

The Benefit of Kingdom Marriage - Function - Savior of the body
    •    A mini-church where the husband loves his wife
    ◦    Husband serves as 
    ‣    Protector - Sacrificial
    •    Ephesians 5:25 - He gives himself for her.
    ‣    Pastor - Shepherd her with the word
    •    Ephesians 5:26 - Sanctify and Cleanse her with the washing of water by the word
    ‣    Provider - 
    •    Ephesians 5:29 - Nourish and cherish her

    •    Outcome - 
    ◦    Ephesians 5:27 - No spot, No wrinkle, No blemish
    ‣    Jesus came out with the scars

    •    Its leadership by example and not by compulsion or force
    ◦    Jesus does not force the church to obey
    ◦    Jesus respects our free will and expects us to be loyal to him

The Brand of Kingdom Marriage - Image - Oneness
    •    Ephesians 5:30 - As we are members of the body of Christ,
    ◦    The marriage union is likened to our union in the body of Christ
    ◦    Ephesians 5:31 - The husband and wife are members of one another

    •    Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 - Two are better than One
    ◦    “We marry for our similarities, but we live in a marriage for our differences.”
    ‣    Gifts
    ‣    Approaches/paradigms
    ‣    Cultures and cultural patterns
    ‣    Even differences in needs

    •    Ephesians 5:33 - Love is the union that seals the man and woman together

Never assume.
    •    Ask your spouse what gives fulfillment
